Creole Gardens is known for providing a hip, fun and creative guest experience. Our mantra has always been "we're not your grandma's old bed and breakfast." We've developed a reputation for being hip and fun by avoiding oppressive rules and regulations. However, the realities of the hotel business dictate that certain terms and conditions be enforced to not only protect our business interests but to insure the safety and enjoyment of all our guests.


We are a small, family owned inn. All our rooms are different and unique and we only have 24 of them. Because of that we cannot operate like the big chains. If you book a room, we cannot refund your deposit if you cancel less than 10 days before you are supposed to arrive and we can't refund your money if you check out early. During special events or for group bookings or special discounted package rates, we need at least 30 days notice if you need to cancel and special policies will be in effect.

A deposit equal to 50% of your entire stay (plus applicable sales tax) will be charged to your credit card at the time of booking. Once you have received an email confirmation from us stating that your deposit has been charged, then your reservation is guaranteed.

Cancellation Policies
Cancellations via phone are not recognized or honored because a phone call cannot be verified. For your protection as well as ours, we require that all cancellations be made in writing via email or snail mail. Our normal cancellation period is 14 days prior to the date of arrival. A $25.00 cancellation fee applies to all reservations. Cancellations more than 14 days prior to arrival will be refunded the 50% deposit minus a $25.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 14 days of arrival forfeit the deposit.

The following holidays/events require alternate cancellation periods:
Mardi Gras/French Quarter Festival/Jazz Festival/Essence Festival/Bayou Classic/Sugar Bowl/Southern Decadence/VooDoo Festival/Papa Noel/
New Years Weekend/Conventions = Cancellations must be in writing no less than 60 days prior to arrival date.
Always consult your reservation confirmation for the appropriate cancellation policy.

Early Check Outs
There is no refund for checking out earlier than the number of days agreed on at time of booking.

Payment Method
We accept cash, VISA, Master Card, American Express, Discover, and traveler's checks for payment of your balance at check in. You must place a valid credit card on file at the time of reservation for payment of the reservation deposit. Cardholder must be one of the individuals occupying the guest room and present at check in to sign any and all credit card transactions used for the reservation deposit and/or balance at check in. We do not accept personal or business checks.
Reservation balance is due in full at time of check in.

Age Restrictions
Creole Gardens is kid friendly. We welcome guests with children and only ask that our young guests respect antique furnishings, common areas, plants/trees and that other guests are not inconvenienced.

Arrival Times
Reservations are only guaranteed until 8:00 pm and will be considered a "no show" after that time - unless prior written arrangements have been made and confirmed in writing directly with Creole Gardens . Your expected arrival time is necessary for us to confirm your reservation. Please let us know if it changes in route, so that someone can be on hand to greet you.

Check In/Check Out
Check in time is 3pm  (Central Time) - Check out time is 12 noon. If arriving later than 8:00 pm or earlier than 3pm, you must make advance arrangements with Creole Gardens . Our reception desk is not staffed full time so your arrival time is important. We want to be on hand to greet you.

Note: Check Ins later than 10:00 pm may be subject to a $10.00 Late Check In Fee.

All guest rooms include private bath (en suite), phone, color TV, AC/Heat and internet port. Your nightly rate includes full southern breakfast daily. Creole Gardens reserves the right to substitute normal breakfast service with an enhanced continental breakfast due to staffing shortages or any other unknown reason(s) without advance notice or refund.
We do not have an elevator.

Creole Gardens guest rooms and Main Mansion public rooms are SMOKE-FREE. Smoking in guest rooms is absolutely prohibited. Smoking in guest rooms is subject to a $150.00 fee. Smoking is only allowed in the courtyard. Please dispose of your butts.

Special Needs
Please state in writing any special needs you have, such as ability to climb stairs, need of a refrigerator for medicine or baby formula, iron and ironing board, etc.

Minimum Stay/Special Events & Holidays
Normally two nights is required on weekends - Friday & Saturday nights. For special events and holidays, the minimum stay may be longer. Creole Gardens will always communicate minimum night stays and other conditions during the confirmation process.

Groups are considered 5 rooms or greater. Cancellation policy for group bookings is 30 days prior to arrival. A 50% deposit on all group rooms is required to confirm group bookings, however the balance is due and charged 30 days prior to arrival. Written cancellation notice more than 30 days prior to arrival will be refunded the deposit minus $50.00 cancellation fee. There are no refunds or cancellations within 30 days of arrival for groups. Group reservations must be made directly with Creole Gardens via email or phone and not from the internet..

There are no refunds due to weather. If the National Weather Service declares a hurricane warning for New Orleans, and you cancel your reservation within the cancellation period - due to this warning or a hurricane. You have the option of a refund (minus $25.00 cancellation fee) or you can hold your reservation as a credit for a future booking for one year (12 calendar months) from the date of your original scheduled arrival.

Guest Safety
Due to the historical age of our buildings/guest rooms, no candles, incense, coffee makers or cooking is allowed in the rooms at any time. No unregistered overnight guests are allowed in the rooms.

Creole Gardens is pet friendly. We allow pets with advance reservations. The care, feeding, walking and behavior of your pet is your responsibility. We reserve the right to restrict the number of pets or apply a minimal pet fee based on weight, behavior or hygiene. Pets are not allowed to run free and must be on a leash at all times outside the guest room. Pets must be walked off premises.

Complimentary parking is provided based on availability. NO RV's, U-Hauls, moving vans, trailers or large trucks allowed. There are no guaranteed/reserved parking spaces. There is plenty of unrestricted and safe on-street parking directly in front of the hotel.

Gift certificates are available. Please call for details.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
