Knowing Barack Obama is swearing in as the 44th President of the United States tomorrow makes this Martin Luther King Day that much more exciting and special. You can feel it in the air here in New Orleans. There’s a vibe of hope and joy in the city… a city that overwhelmingly voted for Obama.

As a small business affected by this downturning economy, here’s hoping all of us can work together to move on from the policies set over the last 8 years that have hurt the little guy just trying to get by. As of tomorrow, we will have a leader who brings Martin Luther King’s dream full circle and fills the American people with pride and unity. Here’s hoping Obama will make on his promise to New Orleans one year ago “No more Brownie, no more heads of the Arabian horses association in charge of FEMA,” in a speech at Tulane. Here’s hoping for CHANGE these next four years.
Happy Martin Luther King Day and Inauguration Day from all of us at Creole Gardens!
